Join a hands-on French cooking class in the heart of Paris, led by Chef Olivier Berté, a certified member of the prestigious Toques Blanches Internationales. Located in the 2nd arrondissement, near Place des Victoires (Métro Bourse), this workshop offers a relaxed and welcoming setting to learn the fundamentals of French cuisine.
What to expect
The class lasts approximately 3 hours and is designed for beginners as well as food lovers looking to improve their skills. You will learn to prepare a complete menu: starter, main course, and dessert, using fresh, seasonal ingredients.
The chef will guide you step by step through the key techniques: knife skills, cooking times, seasoning, plating, and flavor balancing. The goal is to make you confident in reproducing the recipes at home.
At the end of the session, you’ll sit down with the rest of the group to enjoy the dishes you’ve prepared, paired with a glass of wine. You’ll also take home the recipe sheets.

Themes vary throughout the year: traditional French cuisine, world flavors, vegetarian menus, or seasonal specialties. You can choose your theme when booking, after checking the calendar provided by the chef.
Molecular cooking class in Paris
Discover the science behind cooking in a unique molecular gastronomy workshop, hosted by Chef Olivier Berté in a former private mansion in central Paris. This original culinary experience takes place in a refined location near Place des Victoires.
What is molecular gastronomy?
This class introduces you to the basics of food chemistry, applied to innovative cuisine. You will learn how to use modern culinary techniques and tools to transform textures and intensify flavors.
Techniques may include:
- Emulsion and foams
- Flocculation and spherification
- Controlled low-temperature cooking
- Use of natural gelling or thickening agents
- Flavor diffusion and deconstruction


Structure of the class
Over 3 hours, you will create a complete menu (starter, main course, dessert), incorporating molecular elements. The chef and his team will help you master the concepts in a practical, accessible way.
After the workshop, you will taste your creations together, with a glass of wine, and leave with the recipes to try them again at home.

- Group size: maximum of 8 participants per class. The class can be privatized for yourself or your group.

- Language: classes are conducted in French (English on request or for private groups)

- Classic cooking classes: Wednesday to Saturday, 10:00 am – 1:00 pm, and Friday evenings 6:30 pm – 9:30 pm
- Molecular gastronomy classes: once per quarter, Friday or Saturday, 10:00 am – 1:00 pm or 6:30 pm – 9:30 pm
