The experience

Morning in Chinon wine region

After pickup at your accommodation, your guide will introduce the day’s itinerary. A short drive brings you to Chinon, a region producing over 12 million bottles of wine annually. The area is known for its Cabernet Franc red wines and Chenin Blanc white wines. You will visit a local winery, walk through the vineyards (weather permitting), and attend a guided tasting session with expert commentary.

Lunch break in Chinon town

After the morning tasting, the tour stops in the town of Chinon. You will have free time to explore and have lunch at your own expense. Restaurants and cafés are easily accessible, and your guide can offer recommendations.

Afternoon in Bourgueil wine region

In the afternoon, the group travels to Bourgueil and Saint Nicolas de Bourgueil, where wines have been produced since the 10th century. Soils range from sandy gravel to clay-limestone, influencing the style and structure of the wines.

You will visit two different wineries, where you may walk through the vineyards and view wine production areas and aging cellars. A guided tasting session follows each visit, featuring red wines and sometimes rosé, white, or sparkling wines.

The experience is conducted in a premium, air-conditioned vehicle. The vehicle offers space and comfort for a small group of up to 8 guests. Hotel pickup and drop-off are included.
